Hospital Mix-up in Morocco Leads to Body Exhumation

A bizarre situation at the Addaraq hospital in Berkane. The hospital morgue confused the remains of two deceased persons. A situation that led to the exhumation of one of the bodies.
According to Assabah, "the hospital authorities have put the members of two families in an unbearable psychological state. A confusion that, according to them, is explained by the negligence of the services of this hospital and the chaos that reigns there". The remains are those of two people from Ahfir and Zegzel, in the province of Berkane, who died after being admitted to the hospital. They were placed in the morgue, while the families completed the administrative formalities.
After which, one of the two families recovered the body of the deceased and buried it in the Ouaoulout cemetery. It was at the time of the removal of the body by the family of the second deceased that the error was noticed, details the daily. Finally, the family of the first deceased had to proceed with the exhumation of the body, barely 24 hours after its burial. The operation took place in the presence of the local authorities and members of the Civil Protection and the Royal Gendarmerie. The body was then returned to the family of the second deceased.
