An unexpected discovery in Saïdia. A homeless man was arrested following the discovery, in his possession, of a significant quantity of €500 notes, with a total value exceeding 980,000 dirhams.

The arrest took place on Friday, during an operation conducted by local authorities in coordination with the national police in several streets and public spaces in the city. The operation specifically targeted people living on the streets, as part of strengthened controls during the summer season.
According to Al3omk, the search of the suspect led to the discovery of several euro notes. However, initial checks raised strong suspicions about their authenticity. The notes were therefore seized and sent for technical examination.

The judicial police of Saïdia opened an investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office. The investigations must determine where this money came from, how it ended up in the suspect’s hands, and whether this is an isolated case or a matter linked to other individuals.
