According to the TV Line website, cited by HuffPost, the filming of the 12 episodes will take place in Morocco, specifically in the south of the country, starting next February.
During the filming of the third season, the film crew had expressed their choice of Morocco, stating that in the impossibility of filming in Syria, the kingdom had been chosen for "its resemblance". Scenes supposed to take place in Afghanistan had also been shot in the Kingdom.
Homeland is an American series that is heavily inspired by the Israeli series Hatufim (Abducted). Broadcast in the United States since October 2011, it is the second most watched series on the Showtime channel.
