Al Hoceima Man Sentenced to 3.5 Years for Assaulting Police Officers

On Monday, the main defendant in the assault on two police officers on duty in Al Hoceima was sentenced to 3 and a half years in prison by the court of first instance in the city.
The individual had caused disturbance on the public highway in the morning of Thursday, August 11, using a dangerous object, assaulting two police officers who had tried to subdue him. After fleeing, he had been arrested at his home before being placed in custody.
Presented before the judge, the aggressor was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and 10,000 dirhams in damages to be paid to the two assaulted police officers, in addition to a symbolic one dirham to be paid to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
