Al Hoceima Authorities Clear Public Beaches in Crackdown on Illegal Occupation

The authorities of Al Hoceima have tackled the occupants of public space on the Quemado beach. An operation welcomed by summer visitors, as well as a number of civil actors and tourism sector players.
In Al Hoceima, the local authorities are displaying their determination to strengthen order and fight all forms of anarchy. They have continued the campaign to free up public, especially maritime, space. Thus, the pasha of the city and the head of the third administrative annex of the prefecture, accompanied by elements of the auxiliary forces, the police and the authority agents, carried out a campaign on the Quemado beach. This operation was a success. Together, they were able to put an end to practices aimed at illegally occupying the public maritime domain without any legal basis or authorizations relating to this type of summer activity. A firmness welcomed by the summer visitors, as well as a number of civil actors and tourism workers.
The authorities do not intend to let their guard down. They will be on the ground daily, in order to restore order and fight against all forms of disorder accompanying the influx of visitors and tourists to the region.
