Hirak Leader Zefzafi Denied Photo with Child in Hospital, Sparks Controversy

While the leader of the Hirak movement, Nasser Zefzafi, was in the hospital under close guard, a child reportedly spotted him and asked to take a selfie with him. His phone was temporarily confiscated by one of the guards.
Noonpresse, based on statements by Asmae El Ouadie, one of Nasser Zefzafi’s lawyers, recounts that while Zefzafi was in the hospital, escorted by heavily armed men, a child who had accompanied his mother, who was receiving treatment there, saw him and joyfully approached to take a photo with him.
However, the guards not only prevented him from doing so, but also confiscated the child’s phone and, according to the same source, made threats against the child. Indeed, according to Noonpresse, El Ouadie stated: "The guards accompanying Zefzafi confiscated the child’s mobile phone and threatened him. Except that Nasser intervened and insisted until they returned his phone and released him."
According to Newpress24, the same lawyer recounts another episode with a supposed "Monster" who had shared Zefzafi’s cell. The Hirak prisoners had explained to him that he was not a monster, that he was kind and polite, and that at one point he even said (referring to the Hirak detainees): "I have never felt more human than with you and within your circle."
