Hilton Expands Luxury Footprint with $300 Million Conrad Hotel in Rabat, Morocco

The international hotel chain Hilton has announced the imminent opening of a luxury hotel in the commune of Harhoura in Rabat, which will be part of its "Conrad Hotels & Resorts" range. This is its first investment in Africa.
With a total cost of $300 million, the project aims to strengthen the hotel offer in Rabat and its surroundings and will be carried out by the Emirati holding company "Arzana investment", the group’s press release states, specifying that it will create 5,000 jobs.
More specifically, the investment includes the construction of 120 rooms, with a future extension that should bring its capacity to 140 keys. It will also include three restaurants, a spa, two conference rooms and a ballroom, the same source adds.
The project also includes the development of an aqua park, a recreational area offering the inhabitants of the region a leisure place, whose opening is scheduled for the summer of 2022.
