Hakim Ziyech Sidelined with Back Injury: Galatasaray Star to Miss Upcoming Matches

Galatasaray has given news of Hakim Ziyech, who was substituted due to injury during the second round match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN Morocco 2025) qualifiers between Morocco and Lesotho, which ended in a 1-0 victory for the Atlas Lions.
Reassuring news about Ziyech’s health condition. In a statement, Galatasaray said that the Moroccan international felt acute pain in the upper right part of his back during the match between Morocco and Lesotho and is suffering from a grade 2 strain in a group of upper back muscles. It is more specifically a partial tear and severe strain, for which he must undergo thorough medical examinations.
Ziyech has already started receiving care under the supervision of the team doctor and at the Medicana hospital, the club’s official medical sponsor, Galatasaray added, without specifying the exact duration of his absence. According to Turkish media sources, this injury could keep the former Ajax star off the pitch for about three weeks. A blow for the Turkish club and the Moroccan team. Ziyech could miss Galatasaray’s upcoming matches and the Atlas Lions’ next matches.
