Hakim Ziyech Returns to Training, Eyes Morocco National Team Comeback

Fully recovered from his injury, Moroccan winger of Galatasaray Hakim Ziyech has returned to the pitch. Will he be called up for the next matches of the Atlas Lions?
The rehabilitation phase is over! Hakim Ziyech has resumed training after an absence due to injury. The Moroccan international should follow a special program taking place in the Turkish club’s gym and in collective training, under the supervision of the team’s physical trainer, reports the local press.
Since his return from the Atlas Lions’ matches against Gabon and Lesotho in September, the 31-year-old player has not played for Galatasaray. He could be fielded for the Turkish club’s next matches. Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national team, could also call him up for the matches against the Central African Republic, counting for the third and fourth rounds of the African qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), which will be held from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026 in Morocco.
Substituted due to injury during the match against Lesotho, counting for the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Ziyech suffered a second-degree muscle strain. "During the match of the Moroccan national team against Lesotho in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, our player Hakim Ziyech felt pain in the right upper posterior muscle. During the examinations carried out in our sponsor hospital Medicana, a 2nd degree tension (sprain, bleeding and partial tear) was diagnosed in the right upper posterior muscle group," Galatasaray had said in a statement. The treatment of our player Hakim Ziyech has begun."
