Hakim Ziyech Returns to Istanbul for Rehab After Morocco Match Injury

The Moroccan midfielder, Hakim Ziyech, has returned to Istanbul to continue his rehabilitation after an injury sustained while wearing the Atlas Lions jersey. Good news for the supporters of Galatasaray and the Moroccan national football team.
Injured during the match against Lesotho, counting for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Ziyech is suffering from a second-degree muscle strain. The player had been forced to leave the pitch prematurely and had joined the Netherlands for additional examinations and the start of treatment.
"[During the match of the Moroccan national team against Lesotho in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifications, our player Hakim Ziyech felt pain in the right upper posterior muscle. During the examinations carried out in our sponsor hospital Medicana, a 2nd degree tension (sprain, bleeding and partial tear) was diagnosed in the right upper posterior muscle group. The treatment of our player Hakim Ziyech has begun]", the club wrote in a statement published this Friday, September 20.
The Moroccan international should, however, resume collective training in the coming days. Excellent news for the Moroccan coach, Walid Regragui, after the injury of Brahim Diaz.
