Daylight Shooting in Tangier Linked to Drug Trafficking, Police Investigate
The Dar el-Tounsi neighborhood in Tangier was the scene of a spectacular shooting on Sunday. It would be a settling of scores against a backdrop of drug trafficking. An investigation is underway.
Scenes worthy of a western in the Dar el-Tounsi sector. A group of individuals in a car intercepted another car, and one of them gets out a shotgun and opens fire, reports the Al3omk website. The driver of the vehicle was hit by two bullets in the abdomen and thigh. The victim was taken to a private clinic downtown.
Alerted, the police arrived on the scene. The perpetrators of the shooting flee. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the incident. It would be a settling of scores against a backdrop of international drug trafficking.
