US Green Card Lottery Draws Thousands of Hopeful Moroccan Applicants

Every year, thousands of young Moroccans are rushing to obtain the green card to emigrate to the United States. Since the opening of registrations this year, many Moroccans have already tried their luck.
Everywhere in Morocco, the observation is the same. The ad hoc registration centers, the cybercafes are stormed. Inside, young people, files in hand, sometimes line up in single file, waiting to be registered by specialists. 20 dirhams are enough to try your luck at the American roulette, reports the daily Assabah.
In its edition of the day, the daily newspaper returned to the American dream nurtured by young and not-so-young Moroccans. These candidates are rushing in the hope of being selected. They are storming the photo labs, which are seeing their activities increase, as one of the conditions is the presentation of recent and professional identity photos.
According to a candidate, "the immigration system is fair." These registrations for the U.S. Immigration Visa Lottery Program continue until the first week of November. The last draw selected 6,000 Moroccans, the newspaper recalled.
