Serious accident on the El Jadida highway: one dead and several injured due to fog

Very poor visibility due to thick fog that enveloped the region would be the cause of a series of collisions between cars and trucks in the early hours of Friday on the highway connecting El Jadida to Azemmour.

One person died on the spot. Other people are seriously injured. Informed, the elements of Civil Protection, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Auxiliary Forces as well as the emergency medical teams arrived at the scene of the accident. The impacts were so violent that they had to proceed with the extrication of passengers trapped inside their cars, before their emergency evacuation.

It is not excluded that the security services will open an investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the exact circumstances and the precise causes of the accident.
