Germany Renews Invitation for King Mohammed VI’s State Visit Amid Strengthening Morocco Ties

As part of the resumption of bilateral cooperation between Morocco and Germany, the German authorities have reiterated their invitation to King Mohammed VI to make a state visit to Germany.
During a working visit from August 24 to 25 in Morocco, the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, welcomed the progress made in the Kingdom, in particular the reforms led by King Mohammed VI for a more open and dynamic society and economy.
"The potential of His Majesty the King’s efforts to strengthen the integration of the Maghreb on sound and solid foundations," she said at the end of a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In this joint statement, the two ministers strongly supported the principle of regional cooperation and emphasized the important role that the Arab Maghreb Union could play in peace, stability and sustainable economic and social development.
Furthermore, the German official reiterated the invitation addressed to King Mohammed VI by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank Walter Steinmeier, to make a state visit to Germany, with a view to sealing a renewed partnership between the two countries, as stated in the joint statement.
