Israeli Justice Minister Reaffirms Support for Morocco’s Sahara Stance During Visit

During a working visit to Morocco, Gideon Saar, the Israeli Minister of Justice, reaffirmed his country’s support for the kingdom’s position on the Sahara issue.
Speaking after the talks he had with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, the official indicated that it was an opportunity to "reaffirm support for Morocco’s position on the Sahara issue", specifying that he had expressed the same position during his other meetings with Moroccan government officials.
The various exchanges with the Moroccan authorities also focused on bilateral cooperation in the field of justice, he stressed, adding that it is part of the strengthening of relations between Morocco and Israel.
Describing his working visit as a "success", Saar also invited the Minister of Foreign Affairs to visit Israel in the near future. It should be recalled that this trip allowed the two countries to sign a memorandum of understanding between the two Ministries of Justice focused on strengthening and encouraging bilateral legal cooperation.
