Galatasaray Stars Feghouli and Belhanda Upset Over Falcao’s High Salary
The salary of the Colombian international Falcao, recently recruited by Galatasaray, is dividing the Turkish club’s squad, particularly the Algerian Sofiane Feghouli and the Moroccan Younès Belhanda. These two players do not appreciate the remuneration granted to the new arrival, while they believe they have been investing daily for the team for several years.
Under contract with the club until 2021 for Belhanda, and 2022 for Feghouli, the two Moroccan and Algerian attackers would they be jealous of their Colombian teammate’s attractive salary?
The information was made public by the Turkish media, which specify that the Colombian international Radamel Falcao, recruited on September 2, 2019, earns a salary that would make his teammates Feghouli and Belhanda jealous.
And yet, the former Monaco player’s good performances (1 goal in 5 matches) have allowed the team to position itself in 10th place in the Süper Lig.
Arrived at the cost of millions, according to the Turkish media, the new star of Galatasaray is paid accordingly. The same media report that Falcao receives an annual salary of 7 million euros, while Feghouli earns 4 million per year and Belhanda 3.75 million.
The two 29-year-old Maghreb players feel they have largely contributed to Galatasaray’s recent successes, double Turkish champions and cup winners this year, to be treated this way. The authorities would do well to put an end to this cold war, for the cohesion of the group.
