Galatasaray’s Younès Belhanda Seeks Exit Amid Fan Conflict

Still whistled by the supporters of his club, Younès Belhanda has finally asked to be included on the departure list, in order to leave Galatasaray during the winter transfer window. And already, clubs are lining up to recover the Moroccan international.
Between Younès Belhanda and the supporters of his club, nothing is going well anymore. We remember, during a substitution during the match, against Real Madrid in the Champions League, the Moroccan international suffered the whistles of the public. In reaction, the player let go of a few insults. Since then, he has found himself at the heart of a conflict with his own supporters. Despite the efforts of his coach to reintegrate him, nothing is going well. Indeed, Fatih Terim even started Younès in the last matches of the Turkish champions, but the player is whistled at each of his ball touches, observes Hespress.
Unable to take it anymore, the player would have asked to be included in the transfer list this winter, says Turkish journalist Ali Naci Küçük. This decision by the number 10 of Galatasaray should not surprise the club’s management, especially since the pressure on the player is exacerbating.
In reality, according to the same source, the player should easily find a new team, especially since he was being tracked by several clubs in Saudi Arabia, including Al Nassr, and Ittihad of Jeddah. But also in Europe, Monaco, Nice and Rubin Kazan have recently expressed interest in securing the player’s services. This last club in particular would even be ready to reach an agreement with Galatasaray to cede Younès for 10 million euros.
