Galatasaray Looks to Offload Moroccan Midfielder Younès Belhanda Amid Performance Concerns

Bound by a contract until June 2022, Moroccan international Younès Belhanda could leave Galatasaray much earlier than expected, according to the club’s management.
Younes Belhanda is increasingly being pushed towards the exit. His recent exclusions from certain important matches show that the number 10 is no longer in the good graces of his club. To this drop in performance is added his outburst against supporters in the Champions League against Real Madrid.
Taking advantage of this mistrust of the coach towards the Moroccan player, the club’s management has set the price of his departure. According to the Turkish press, the value of the Moroccan player is estimated at 8.5 million euros for this winter transfer window. Clubs wishing to secure his services will have to dig into their wallets.
The Moroccan international is therefore now with his back to the wall and the same sources indicate that his club wishes to "get rid" of him to end his high salary of more than 3 million euros.
However, opportunities are presenting themselves for the former of OGC Nice. He could soon return to his former French Ligue 1 club, Montpellier, where he played as a junior from 2003 to 2009. Montpellier president Laurent Nicollin is of the same opinion and indicated a few days ago that the doors of his club are open to him. It will now be a matter of seeing if he can afford the price.
