Galatasaray Coach Slams Ziyech and Zaha After 5-0 Super Cup Defeat

"When Zaha and Ziyech are on the wings, we struggle to deliver the expected performance. We play on a single line... Like their other teammates, their performance was not sufficient. It is clear that we did not play well," said a very upset Okan Buruk after the heavy defeat against Beşiktaş.

He continued: "We did not expect such a defeat; we had come to win. Congratulations to the Beşiktaş team, who deserve their victory. We applauded and congratulated them... On June 28, Galatasaray announced in a post on X the exercise of the purchase option provided for in Ziyech’s loan contract and the permanent transfer of the Atlas Lion for one season, with an option for an additional year. Ziyech will earn a net salary of 2,850,000 euros for the 2024-2025 season and the following season, in case the conditional extension option is activated.
