FRS Resumes Fast Ferry Service Between Melilla and Motril After Pandemic Pause

The shipping company FRS will resume the Melilla - Motril route on Friday, March 5. The Tarifa Jet, a fast ferry, will operate this route between the two ports on Fridays, Sundays and Mondays.
FRS will be able to connect the ports of Melilla and Motril again. This route, launched since July 2018, had been suspended last March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Tarifa Jet, the ship that will operate this route, has a capacity of 777 passengers and 175 vehicles. It has the "My Care" certification granted by DNV GL, which attests that the ship complies with the health protocols related to Covid-19, including regular cleaning and disinfection of all its spaces.
Departures from the port of Melilla are scheduled on Fridays at 4:00 pm and Mondays at 7:30 am. Those from Motril are scheduled on Fridays at 8:30 am and Sundays at 6:30 pm. Ticket reservations can be made through the FRS website and the FRS Travel mobile app, or by calling the Call Center.
