Spain Extends Closure of Ceuta and Melilla Border Crossings with Morocco Until March 31

The Spanish government has decided to keep the border posts between Morocco and Ceuta and Melilla closed until March 31, 2021. The postponement of the opening of the border crossings between the two cities and the kingdom is due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to EFE, the closure of the border crossings between Morocco and the two enclaves has been extended by one month, by order of the Spanish Ministry of the Interior and published in the Official Journal of the Spanish State (BOE), on Friday, February 26.
Closed since March 13, 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, these border crossings between Morocco and the two enclaves were exceptionally reopened to allow the repatriation of several Moroccan nationals who were stranded there.
