French Woman Arrested Marrakech Insulting Moroccans Online
A Franco-Algerian national was arrested Saturday in Marrakech. She was preparing to leave the country after posting insults targeting Moroccans and accusing police of corruption on social media.
The 30-year-old suspect had her trip to France abruptly interrupted by border police at Marrakech-Ménara airport. Security services had been actively searching for her following the distribution of a national search notice. This arrest stems directly from her recent posts on various social platforms, where she made insulting remarks specifically targeting Moroccans, while openly accusing law enforcement of favoritism during traffic stops.

Given the seriousness of these slurs, justice came down hard. Authorities consider these actions serious criminal offenses, combining attacks on the honor of citizens and defamation of a public institution. Currently held in custody at the judicial police station in the ochre city, the suspect will have to explain her motivations.
