French Tourist Reports Rape and Assault in Marrakech Nightclub Incident

The information is detailed in a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). "The Marrakech security services had received a complaint filed by a French citizen of Algerian origin, aged 47, in which she claimed to have been the victim of rape and theft by two individuals she met in a nightclub," it reads.

The alleged victim claims to have been driven in a taxi before her alleged assailants "committed their criminal acts in a deserted area of the city".

The police indicate that they have recovered the victim’s belongings and arrested the two assailants. They are "repeat offenders" who have just been taken into custody to determine "the ins and outs of this criminal case and identify the motives".
