French Tourist Dies in Scooter Accident in Morocco’s Al Haouz Province

A French national died last week in Aït Hakim, a rural commune in the province of Al Haouz. The victim, passing through the region, would have lost control of his scooter.
Aged around fifty, the French tourist tourist found himself at the bottom of an irrigation canal, after falling off his scooter.
According to witnesses on the spot, the victim was driving his vehicle at high speed when he lost control, causing him to fall into a ravine. The exact causes of death have not been communicated.
The body was transferred to the morgue of the Marrakech hospital, pending the opening of an investigation, under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, on the actual circumstances of the death.
