Slovenian Tourist Found Dead in Moroccan Desert Near Algerian Border

The Royal Armed Forces (FAR) found the lifeless body of a Slovenian national in the desert of M’hamid el ghizlane, in the outskirts of Zagora, 20 km from the border with Algeria.
According to sources relayed by the Febrayer website, the Slovenian tourist had set up a bivouac alone in the M’hamid el ghizlane area in order to be able to tour the region.
Lost in the desert of Mhamid el ghizlane, he would have been a victim of dehydration during a hike. It is a death that, according to the same sources, was caused by the scorching heat of the Sahara.
The victim’s body was transported, on the initiative of the local authorities, to the morgue of the commune of Tiknit, while an investigation was initiated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
