French-Moroccan Comedian Jamel Debbouze Honors Late Women’s Rights Icon Aicha Chenna

French-Moroccan comedian Jamel Debbouze paid tribute to Aicha Chenna, alias "Mother Courage", one of the most active activists for the cause of women and children, who died on Sunday, September 25 at the age of 81.
The tributes continue to pour in after the death of Aicha Chenna, nicknamed "Mother Courage". On Instagram, Jamel Debbouze, one of her admirers, salutes the memory of a woman who spent her life showing the way. "You spent your life showing us the way. Thank you. Thanks to you we know! Rest in peace," writes the husband of Melissa Theuriau.
Aicha Chenna died on Sunday at the age of 81. She was the founding president of the Association Solidarité Féminine. "Mother Courage" dedicated her entire life to the defense of single women and especially abandoned children. She has 60 years of experience in activism. Her actions have earned her recognition and merit. In Morocco, she received the medal of honor and the encouragement of King Mohammed VI in 2000. In France, she had received the Legion of Honor in 2013.
