Comedian Jamel Debbouze Booed at Marrakech Concert Over World Cup Stance

The Franco-Moroccan comedian Jamel Debbouze was greeted with boos at the big "Stars in the place" concert, which took place on Jemaâ El Fna Square in Marrakech.
As Congolese rapper Gims introduced Jamel Debbouze as a surprise guest at the "Stars in the place" mega international concert held on Jamaâ El Fna Square in Marrakech on Friday, the Franco-Moroccan comedian was booed by the audience. He is being criticized for refusing to support his country of origin during the World Cup by wearing a France and Morocco jersey in the semi-final of the World Cup.
The match between the Atlas Lions and the Blues in Qatar had put many Franco-Moroccans in an awkward position. At the end of the match, France won painfully against Morocco (2-0).
