Jamel Debbouze Stars Alongside Mother in "The New Toy" Film Comeback

The Franco-Moroccan comedian Jamel Debbouze made a declaration of love to his mother, who makes an appearance alongside him in his new film "The New Toy".
"Her first role in cinema, the lead role in my life... So proud. A sublime moment that will remain engraved," Jamel wrote on Instagram. Through this feature film, the Moroccan is making his return to cinema, after several years of absence from the big screen.
Directed by James Huth, "The New Toy" is a remake of the cult film "The Toy" by Francis Veber. In this new version, Jamel Debbouze plays the role of Samy, a lazy man forced to find a job after his wife becomes pregnant. He will end up becoming the toy of his boss’s son, as a birthday gift to the little boy. The film was released in theaters on Wednesday, October 19.
