French group Ayvens exits Morocco after one year

Just one year after establishing itself, the French group Ayvens is packing up and leaving the Moroccan market. This unexpected decision is part of a global strategy to refocus the company on its other international activities.

The venture proved to be very short-lived for the company. Installed since the end of last year, the company chose to sell all of its shares in response to interest shown by certain shareholders. The transaction is now completely finalized. As a direct consequence of this rapid sale, the local entity ALD Morocco was officially removed from the group’s consolidated financial statements.

This Moroccan disengagement is accompanied by a departure from the Middle East. The operator is indeed preparing its withdrawal from the United Arab Emirates. At the end of 2025, an agreement was initialed for the sale of its 49% stake in its Emirati operating subsidiary. This transaction remains, however, subject to the green light from local competition authorities.
