While the Frenchman (28 years old) was about to leave the national territory, he was apprehended, indicates the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release.
The same source specifies that it is the operation of checking in the databases of the wanted persons that revealed that he is the subject of a red notice issued by Interpol. He is accused of his involvement in the activity of an international drug trafficking network.
Pending the submission of the suspect to the competent judicial authorities to decide on the procedure for his extradition to the French judicial authorities, he has been placed in custody.
