French National Arrested in Marrakech for International Drug Trafficking
A French national was arrested on Monday by elements of the Marrakech police prefecture. The individual is being prosecuted for his involvement in an international drug and drug trafficking network.
In a press release, the General Directorate of National Security announced that the tracking operation based on Interpol’s database revealed that the suspect is the subject of an international arrest warrant, issued by the French authorities.
The press release adds that the individual is suspected of acting on behalf of a criminal drug and drug trafficking network. He would have participated in several international operations.
For now, the suspect, who also holds Algerian nationality, has been taken into custody at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, pending a decision on a possible extradition.
