French Doctor Arrested in Marrakech for Illegal Cosmetic Surgery Operation

A 73-year-old French national was taken into custody by the Judicial Police Prefectural Service of Marrakech, for his alleged involvement in a case of illegal medical practice.
In exchange for 4,000 euros, a 49-year-old French citizen, who filed a complaint with the Judicial Police, was surprised to undergo cosmetic surgery in the basement of a villa, instead of a private clinic, as originally agreed with the doctor.
The search carried out in the villa rented for the illegal practice of cosmetic surgery made it possible to seize a doctor’s stamp bearing his name, in addition to medical devices, medicines and pharmaceutical preparations that the doctor used in his clandestine interventions.
The accused is the subject of an investigation opened under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to determine the acts with which he is charged, in particular, the practice of medicine without authorization, the operation of a clandestine facility to perform surgical procedures, as well as his title as a doctor.
