Algerian Suspect Arrested in Casablanca for Luxury Hotel Burglaries

An Algerian national was arrested by the judicial police brigade of Casa-Anfa, for his alleged involvement in burglaries within the luxury hotel establishments of Casablanca.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security, the suspect, aged 56, was intercepted at the entrance of a hotel located in Casa-Anfa. The investigation carried out by the police services revealed that he was a repeat offender of hotel room thefts.
Using a screwdriver, he managed to open the doors of the rooms, before seizing the money and belongings of the customers. The search of the suspect made it possible to seize the tools used to open the locks, said the DGSN.
The individual was placed in custody, at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the circumstances of this case.
