Casablanca Police Arrest Five in Major Psychotropic Drug Bust

Five individuals, including two girls, were arrested for their alleged involvement in a case of possession and trafficking of psychotropic tablets. This was done by the prefectural service of the judicial police of Casablanca, on Thursday.
They were on board a light vehicle in the Aïn Harrouda area on the outskirts of Casablanca when they were arrested, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
A meticulous search operation, carried out with the help of sniffer dogs, made it possible to seize 2,698 "rivotril" type psychotropic tablets, hidden in specially arranged cavities in the vehicle.
The defendants, according to the MAP, were placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office in order to identify other accomplices.
