Fraudulent Healer Arrested in Khouribga: Elected Officials Among Victims

A charlatan was arrested in Khouribga for defrauding several people, including elected officials from the same region. He is expected to appear very soon before the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Second Instance of Khouribga.
The case broke out when the neighbors, disturbed by the daily hubbub of the charlatan’s many clients, filed a complaint with the royal gendarmerie brigade of Khouribga. The gendarmerie elements and the prosecutor went to the charlatan’s home, which had been transformed into an office, to catch him in the act.
According to Assabah, he was receiving an insomniac client who had been entrusted to him by her husband for 3,000 dirhams. The defendant received his clients, whom he defrauded according to their socio-economic level. His care sessions were billed from 300 dirhams, a price that increases as a function of his clients’ means.
Many objects, including the remains of various animals, Kleenex soaked in unknown products, were seized. Photos clearly recognizing many local elected officials from Khouribga were also taken by the gendarmerie elements. Arrested and remanded in custody, the charlatan asked to be tried remotely from the local prison in Khouribga for fear of being contaminated with the coronavirus.
