Moroccan Police Arrest Alleged Faith Healer and Assistant in Apartment Raid

The police elements of Fkih Ben Saleh proceeded to the arrest of a "raqi" and his assistant who were receiving clients in a rented apartment.
The arrest of these two suspects follows the receipt of a telephone call by the provincial directorate of public security in Fkih Ben Saleh. The person on the other end of the line informed them of the presence of many women who were entering by the dozens, daily, into an apartment rented by the "raqi", reports Assabah.
Following the denunciation, the police went to the home of the suspect. During the arrest of the charlatan (36 years old) and his assistant (31 years old), 19 women were present in the apartment. Some women were going to the charlatan to be treated for certain diseases while others hoped to settle money or couple problems, the same source specifies.
Last Friday, the charlatan and his assistant were brought before the public prosecutor’s office near the court of first instance of Fkih Ben Saleh. They are being prosecuted for violating the rules of confinement and unauthorized gathering, and for engaging in an unlicensed activity. The two suspects were placed in detention.
