Moroccan Teen Found Safe After 20-Day Disappearance During Exams

Missing on Friday, July 3 from Fkih Ben Saleh, when she should have taken a baccalaureate exam, a 17-year-old teenager has not given any sign of life. Found on Saturday, July 25, she invented a nice excuse to try to get out of it.
Sought by her parents for about twenty days, this young teenager is finally back home. She had been the subject of a missing persons report, reports Aujourd’hui le Maroc. Thanks to the investigations initiated by the judicial police officers, she was found, Thursday, July 23 at a roundabout in Fkih Ben Saleh.
Her initial explanations did not convince the police officers. According to the same newspaper, the teenager said she had been kidnapped by a criminal gang and raped.
Not convinced by her words, the investigators subjected her to further intense questioning before she admitted to having fabricated this story from scratch to stay in the company of her boyfriend.
This 19-year-old young man was arrested and held in pre-trial detention, pending his appearance before the investigating judges.
