Franco-Moroccan Journalist Rachid M’Barki to Host Popular Crime Show on RMC Story

The Franco-Moroccan Rachid M’Barki, 51, is the new face of the crime news program "Faites entrer l’accusé", which will now be broadcast on RMC Story from September 2020. With Dominique Rizet, this BFMTV journalist will co-host this cult show, created by Christophe Hondelatte in 2000, and followed for years on France 2.
France 2 will offer a final and unprecedented episode of the show "Faites entrer l’accusé" to viewers on Monday, February 24. The story will concern the macabre criminal odyssey of Mohamed Faleh, a serial killer who executed his victims with axe blows.
BFMTV journalist Rachid M’Barki, a fan of the show, was chosen to host it on RMC Story, after several weeks of casting. "I’m not just a viewer of the show. I’m a fan. It’s a real institution. I’m not going to mimic my predecessors. No question of wearing a leather coat (EDITOR’S NOTE: like Christophe Hondelatte)," he tells Le Parisien.
"The novelty is that it will be a real co-hosting between Rachid M’Barki and Dominique Rizet, who has been participating in the show since the beginning. This duo will be the transition point between the two eras of the show," says Stéphane Sallé de Chou, director of the channel’s productions. According to him, of all the applications received, only Rachid has the legitimacy and expertise, as he has been following police and justice issues on BFMTV for years. "His look and his voice immediately fit. And it clicked with Dominique Rizet," says the boss.
