9-Year-Old Reading Champion to Host Road Safety Show for Kids on Moroccan TV

The winner of the "2018 Arab Reading Challenge" competition in Dubai, Meryem Amjoun, 9 years old, will now host a children’s program on the 2M channel.
"Linataâlam ma3a Meryem", which means "Let’s Learn with Meryem". This is the title of this new show. It is intended to be a channel for raising children’s awareness of the dangers of the road, the causes of accidents and how to improve road safety. Meryem Amjoun will offer viewers interactive content through fun shows and knowledge contests.
The teaser for the show has already been broadcast on social networks. Internet users, including Moroccan authorities, have welcomed the initiative and encouraged the youngest host of the second channel at the same time.
In 2018, little Amjoun had won the "Arab Reading Challenge" competition in Dubai. A total of 250 participants from several Arab countries had taken part in this competition. In early January 2019, this student from Taounate was appointed reading ambassador by the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Fès-Meknès.
