Moroccan Singer Meryem Aboulouafa Debuts Multilingual Folk-Electronic Album

Moroccan singer Meryem Aboulouafa has released her very first album entitled "Meryem". With a captivating voice and music inspired by folk and electronic with underlying oriental sounds, she offers music lovers a masterpiece.
The album "Meryem" is composed of 11 subliminal tracks. Meryem Aboulouafa sings about death, prayer, self-acceptance, love... in Arabic, English, and French.
On this album, we find the title "ya qalbi", a cover of a piece by the Algerian singer Fadhéla Dziria. This is actually the only truly affirmed oriental incursion on the album, notes France Inter. This title had greatly pleased Manu Barron, boss of the French label Animal63, who had offered her a contract to produce her.
The title "Say The Truth And Run" is also present on this album. It is one of the first tracks produced by Maxime Daoud and Para One who signs the soundtracks of Céline Sciamma. With the complicity of Keren Ann, her attentive big sister, the repertoire of the Casablanca native has been arranged for the pleasure of music lovers.
Meryem Aboulouafa, 32, was born into a musical family. Although she became a graduate of the Casablanca School of Fine Arts, Meryem has always had music at her core. In 2013, the interior architect had launched the interior design agency, Introspectus. But her passion for music transcends everything.
