Comedian Gad Elmaleh Surprises Fans with Claude Nougaro Tribute Concert, Album to Follow

Gad Elmaleh’s fans expected anything but to see him in the role of a singer covering songs by an artist as iconic as Claude Nougaro. The Moroccan-born comedian gave a surprise concert in Toulouse, covering songs by the Toulouse singer Claude Nougaro.
The comedian gave a 45-minute concert that took place on Monday, August 24 on the Maison Nougaro barge in front of a reduced audience of 45 people. Gad Elmaleh does not intend to stop at this concert. He plans to release an album titled "Dansez sur moi" in November. It is a cover album that will consist of twelve tracks by the famous singer whom the Moroccan artist considers an "absolute reference", reports Ouest France.
An excerpt from the album will be offered to music lovers, through the title Armstrong, available from September 4. Claude Nougaro died in 2004 and Gad Elmaleh was lulled by the melodies of the Toulousain since his youngest age, when he lived in Casablanca, Morocco, the same source specifies.
