Ramadan TV Shake-Up: Popular ’Hidden Camera’ Show Dropped from Al Oula’s Lineup
Monday 20 April 2020, by
Contrary to previous years, the flagship show of the Al Oula channel, "Hidden Camera" is not included in the programs offered during the month of Ramadan.
The Al Aoula channel has given up broadcasting the "Hidden Camera" show, which it had counted on each year to increase its audience during the fasting month. The channel’s programming for this holy month announces dramatic series that are very popular with viewers. It also offers several documentaries, interviews and reports, in addition to religious programs that lend themselves to the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan, namely the "Addourousse Hassania" conferences and the Quranic march.
Moreover, Al Aoula will broadcast a sitcom entitled "Sebra, from London to the Farm", which tells the story of a young lawyer specializing in international law who will find herself responsible for a farm after the death of her father. This will be added to the series "Yacout wa Anbaar" which tells the story of Haj Tlemssani, a merchant in Derb Omar, father of six daughters and who dreams of having a son.
The Al Aoula channel is also counting on the series "Morjana" which brings a touch of romance to a month where comedy is much more consumed. This series, which has four episodes, takes place in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It tells the story of a young girl from the Gnaoua community, who falls in love with a young man from an aristocratic family whose father is a strict conservative.
For this rearrangement, Al Aoula will also offer a talk show called "Oussrati" presented by Zineb Saber, Hanae Laidi and Merouane Gharnati. This program will address topics related to health, motherhood, nutrition, budget management or legal advice.
