First-time issuances of permits increased by 21.9% compared to 2020, a year marked by a 20.9% drop compared to 2019. The main reason for the allocation of a residence permit (85,844 permits against 90,534 in 2019) remains the same: family reasons. In total, 87,694 student residence permits were issued last year.
