Four Moroccan Youths Missing After Jet Ski Attempt to Reach Spain Illegally

Four young Moroccans left the Rif coast to illegally reach Spain on one or more jet skis. Since Thursday, September 12, when they attempted this perilous adventure, they have not given any news, leaving their loved ones in fear and anguish.

Some young Moroccans are willing to take all risks to find themselves on the other side of the Mediterranean. Four young friends and neighbors, residents of Laroui, in the heights of Nador, have set themselves the mission of reaching Spain.

According to Hespress, the four young people embarked on a jet ski at one of the coasts of the province of Nador.

A campaign on social networks to search for information that could help locate them has been launched by their parents who had not been informed in advance of this expedition.

This situation recalls the recklessness of some candidates for illegal immigration, who use jet skis to cover the distance separating the Moroccan and Spanish coasts at the level of the province of Nador.

Regarding this disappearance, Hespress suggests that, according to information provided by the activist of the Walking borders Group, Helena Maleno, who assists migrants in distress at sea, "the maritime rescue services and the Spanish Civil Guard were aware of this disappearance and had no trace of their arrival on the Spanish coasts". Where have these young people gone? The question remains unanswered.
