Four Arrested in Morocco, Including Algerian, for International Drug Trafficking

The judicial police of Oujda arrested four individuals, including an Algerian. They would have links with a criminal network active in the international trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The four suspects were arrested 20 km from Berkane, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release. The search that preceded their arrest allowed the seizure of 356 kg of cannabis resin and a vehicle that would have been used in the drug transport.
The identification operation revealed that two of the suspects, including the Algerian, were the subject of a national wanted notice for drug trafficking, while the other two had multiple criminal records in various criminal cases.
An investigation is underway to determine the extent of this criminal network and all its possible links with other criminal cases, the DGSN said. The accused were placed in custody, pending the conclusions of the investigation.
