Formula E Shifts Hong Kong Race to Marrakech Amid Political Unrest

Formula E will instead be organized in Marrakech on February 29, 2020, in place of Hong Kong, shaken by political protests.
This decision comes from the World Council of the International Automobile Federation (FIA). It met on Friday, October 4. The organizers of the electric series have decided not to hold a race in the Asian megacity, reports AutoHebdo.fr.
According to the same source, this event was part of the championship since the third season, in 2016. Thus, the competition will take place on the Moulay El Hassan circuit in Marrakech. At the end of the championship, the ochre city will have its Grand Prix, details the same source.
In January 2019, Marrakech had hosted the second round of the fifth season of the Electric Vehicle Championship, and for the third time.
