Formula E World Championship Returns to Marrakech’s Challenging Circuit in July

The Formula E World Championship will make its comeback in Marrakech on July 2 on the Moulay El Hassan circuit.
For this 10th round of the season, grandstand tickets are already on sale for 150 dirhams and reduced rates for under 12s, the organizers announced, specifying that the circuit will open at 3pm on Saturday, July 2 and the race will start at 5pm (GMT+1), broadcast worldwide.
At 2.971 km long, the track includes twelve chicanes, three straights and a series of turns, and is well known to be one of the most technical and energy-demanding circuits on the Formula E calendar. Drivers will also be challenged by extreme heat conditions as they compete on the streets of Marrakech.
For this edition, FE has decided to reduce the site’s capacity to ensure the safety of the teams and the Marrakech E-Prix 2022 public, due to the health situation. Consequently, the event will not offer a fan zone this year, offering only 1,000 covered grandstand seats to watch the race.
"Returning to Marrakech for the fifth time since the start of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is both special and incredibly exciting. It’s a place we know very well, but with the technical track and extreme weather conditions, it continues to provide an exciting spectacle for fans and drivers," said Alberto Longo, co-founder and director of the championship.
