Former Morocco Olympic Coach Earns $55,000 Monthly Despite Unemployment

While he has been on technical unemployment for a few months, the former assistant of Hervé Renard with the Moroccan national team, Patrice Beaumelle, continues to regularly receive his salary. The reason is that neither the Technical Director, Osian Roberts, nor the coach, Vahid Halilhodzic, want the former coach of the Olympic national team.
Since the elimination of his team by Mali, in September 2019, in the race for the Africa Cup of Nations U23 and the 2020 Olympics, the former French coach of the Olympic national team, Patrice Beaumelle, is wallowing in idleness, reports Assabah. Under contract with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) until 2021, the former assistant of Hervé Renard continues to receive a salary of 550,000 DH per month.
Faced with this situation, the FRMF decided to find him a position in order to justify his salary. However, no one wants him in the technical bodies. Osian Roberts, the technical director, does not intend to take him into his department. The same feeling with the coach of the Atlas Lions, Vahid Halilhodzic. Moreover, the Franco-Bosnian technician has already appointed Landry Chauvin as assistant coach.
