Former Morocco U23 Coach Beaumelle Takes Contract Dispute to FIFA

Following the termination of his contract, Patrice Beaumelle intends to sue the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) before FIFA.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has unilaterally terminated the contract of the national U23 team coach, and former assistant to Hervé Renard (2016-2019), Patrice Beaumelle, which was due to expire in 18 months. As a result, the French technician has taken the case to FIFA, which he hopes will restore his rights, reports Le360.
For its part, the FRMF is preparing its defense, confides a source close to the case. It will be for the federation to mention, in particular, Beaumelle’s absences from work, and a meeting convened by the president Lekjaa, which had taken place at the Mohammed VI national center.
Since the setback suffered by the Lionceaux in the CAN U23 qualifiers (Egypt 2019), Patrice Beaumelle receives a monthly salary of around 550,000 dirhams. The reason is that neither the national coach, Vahid Halilhodzic, nor the national technical director, Osian Roberts, wanted to work with the French technician.
