Former Morocco Coach Renard Praises Hakimi, Ziyech, and En-Nesyri’s Progress

In an interview with SNRTnews, the former coach of the Atlas Lions commented on the performances, both in clubs and in the national team, of Achraf Hakimi, Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En-Nesyri. For the French technician, the three players are pursuing their path with a thirst for success, despite the setbacks and disappointments inherent in any professional football career.
Hervé Renard said that Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi is a player who has enormous potential for his young age. Since joining PSG, he has shown himself to be up to par in all the matches he has played so far, even if his performance sometimes depends on the collective performance of his team. "It’s easier to criticize Achraf Hakimi than the big stars of PSG. But the most important thing is that Achraf is now one of the best fullbacks in the world," said Hervé Renard.
Regarding Hakim Ziyech, the former Morocco coach stressed his uncomfortable situation at Chelsea where he has to face huge competition. Hervé Renard remains convinced that the difficulties Ziyech is experiencing with Tuchel and Halilhodzic will eventually find a favorable outcome. "Let’s give him a little time. Hakim will have the chance to show that he is still a great player capable of seeing things that few players can foresee. His ability to provide assists will serve Chelsea, I’m sure of it."
What about Youssef En-Nesyri, the star striker of Sevilla FC? Hervé Renard thinks he was right when he decided a few years ago to call him up to join the Atlas Lions. "When I see him play, I tell myself the defenders are going to suffer. I am very proud of the careers of Achraf, Hakim and Youssef. I was lucky to be the coach of 3 players who are at the pinnacle of world football."
